I had an appointment for a haircut with Sherri scheduled for 11:10 AM on 9/28/22. I arrived about 10 minutes early as this was my first time at this salon. When my name was called at 11:10, I was told that Sherri was running a bit late. Okay I thought, 10 or 15 minute wait isn’t bad, but no, she was behind 45 minutes. I didn’t want to reschedule as Sherri was recommended to me as someone experienced in cutting natural curly hair, so I asked them to call me in 45 minutes. I got a call back at about noon, asking if I could change my appointment to 3:20 pm as Sherri was running behind. Now I’ve been texted by M.J. Capelli several times during the week to confirm my appointment, so I’m wondering why no one contacted me earlier to say she was running late? I probably would’ve rescheduled, but they said the reason she was behind was because another client who had their appointment for 11:10 the next day the 29th, came in by mistake. So instead of rescheduling that persons appointment, they bounced me out of my appointment. So my first impression of this salon is not good, and recommended or not, I will not be rescheduling.

The staff are so friendly and do such amazing work. They cut my 5 year olds hair so well. (The picture isn’t at the salon but of the hair cut) I really liked it. The women who did the hair cut stopped when she needed to stop. And was so gentle.

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, QualityI had previously gotten a haircut from this salon and it wasn’t quite up to par with what I had wanted. The cut was pretty uneven, long in the back and shorter in the front. I hadn’t been able to get the blunt cut how I had wanted and the face-framing was not blended at all. I had also gotten cut on the back of my neck from a razor that didn’t need to be used as my hair was shoulder-length.However, I called the manager and spoke with her, she had apologized for what had happened and requested that I come in and see one of her trusted stylists to fix the issue. I was able to get in within 3 or so days, free-of-charge, and Jordyn was my stylist.She is awesome, and I’m for sure coming back to see Jordyn. She turned my hair from what I was really upset about and did not feel confident at all, into hair that I was genuinely smiling about walking out. Very good resolution.I’ve been going to MJ Capelli for many years, and I think it can be a hit-or-miss with the stylist. 4/5 of the stylists you get are pretty good, and it’s usually worth the money. The shop has a very nice atmosphere and though I wish M J C north location on 19th Ave N was still open I will continue to see Kim at her current location. After seeing Kim as my stylist exclusively for 5 years or so, she gets what my hair needs. I appreciate her ability.

Ashlee doesn’t know how to cut guys hair. I had a good 5 inches of hair and asked for an inch off. She proceeds to cut 3 inches off the sides. Terrible stylist Haircut
