Phenomenal service, great haircuts, and incredible prices. I just moved back to the DMV area and, after not touching my hair for a year and a half during COVID-19, was in dire need of a haircut. After browsing about on Yelp and Google, I stumbled upon this cute little shop and decided to give it a shot! I booked an appointment for Saturday morning with Theary, and I absolutely loved her. She’s incredibly sweet, talented, and caring, and she made the entire experience an all-around delight. As the super indecisive and chronically unprepared person that I am, I wasn’t entirely sure what hairstyle I wanted when I stepped into Ly’s. But Theary was super kind and gave incredible input on what she thought would be best. I ended up chopping off about eight inches of hair (I originally had waist-length hair, and now it’s slightly longer than shoulder-length) and got side bangs. She was also incredibly efficient; the whole thing (haircut, shampoo, blow-dry) was done in about 45 minutes. This place is also unbelievably cheap for the quality of service you receive. Everything cost me a mere $20, and I honestly don’t think that I’ll be able to go anywhere else for a haircut after this.

Was overcharged for a haircut and blow dry. The sign says $25 for haircut and $40 for blow dry also. They charged $60 and the hair was just below the shoulder and nothing long. So I paid $35 for a blowout and $25 for a haircut. They never told me they would charge this amount before she did it. A few weeks ago I was charged $40 for the same thing. They are cheaters and scammers. I paid and left. Won’t be back again. She should have told me a blow dry would cost that much. And she was rude about the whole thing. She had an attitude. Don’t go here.
