Shay is awesome! She is so knowledgeable about hair care and will help you grow beautiful luscious hair. The thing I like most about Shay is she remembers her clients. Every time I go in she’ll say “ I know you want a style with all hair out of your face”. Thats what I look for in a stylist. Someone who sees their clients as more than business but as people with preferences, likes and dislikes. I wouldn’t let anyone else touch my hair! Thanks Shay!

I read reviews I was sure that I would have a pleasant experience too but I was never greeted by phone or text even after I texted so IDK how her services are but just on customer service alone I give her zero I called it about 11:00 a.m. I did again texted at 6:00 p.m. to be told that I was not important enough because I had not paid her yet to get a response back I try to support all black owned businesses with the intent that they are carrying their self with the utmost gratitude empathy and passion towards their minorities

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueI would not recommend this place and I’m sharing my experience to everyone I know. I tried to become a new customer here by setting an appointment. I talked to her about what I wanted and she told me to book through her website. So I did. I was unsure what to book exactly and when I’d ask she’d ignore me. So I booked what I felt made sense. It’s a $1 fee to book. Then she tells me I HAVE to rebook because the time that I selected which was available on the Website she actually wasn’t available. I told her I didn’t want to pay $1 again to rebook (the $1 doesn’t go to your service) she tells me it won’t charge me again and to just do it. This was a lie. It charged me again. So I re booked a time that went with her schedule that she told me to book. Mind you she still did not respond to me when I asked her what exactly should I book for the style but I did not feel pressed about it because I’ve already sent her the picture of the style so wanted and she agreed so I figured she didn’t respond because she already knew the style. I was giving her way too much credit.. not thinking maybe she just has poor customer service. Comes day if the appointment I asked her if it’s ok if I’m a little late (I was going to stop & pick up food) but if it’s not ok I’ll be at the appointment on time. She responds back that she already doesn’t have enough time to do my hair as is because she double booked & that it’s best for me to cancel. She also said I never booked a style option. Mind you I’ve been constantly asking what option do I select for the style!! And she knew what I wanted because I sent it to her. Had she been a half decent business owner she would’ve responded when I asked her multiple times “hey what do I pick” & If you knew you double booked why would you take another client? How is that my fault? I was on time crunch because of an event so that was inconvenient. She tells me cancel so I cancel because quite frankly at that point I wanted nothing to do with her or her services. I cancel as she told me to and she charged me 50% of service for canceling day of. She has some nerve. When I confront her on it she’s like “ Styleseat policy is 50% late cancellation fee. When you book an appointment you agree to the policy. Rescheduling your appointment was a free option. ” 1. It doesn’t allow you to reschedule when you are doing same day of 2. YOU told me cancel. I confronted her and she has not and likely will not respond. She got her little money as she probably planned. It’s a shame to see terrible service from a black business like this.
