Kafui African Hair Braiding

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI had my hair braided this morning and this is why I say this is a 5 star establishment:- very professional when communicating. Communication is very important to me and the tone she uses with her customers was very encouraging to those she may have felt needed a confidence boost and very professional when booking appts.- she takes pride in her work. I watched her start to braid a little girl’s hair in 2 big braids but it was not to her satisfaction so she had another braider complete the task while providing feedback as to how it should look. I felt like she wouldn’t let the little girl walk out looking crazy with her name tied to it so she made sure the braid was as close to perfection as she could get it and I can respect that.- she’s reliable. She worked to make sure that whoever came in for their appt was seen at their set time. There was one lady that appeared to not be on the schedule by mistake but they worked her in as promised to her at her set time. It is rare to have an appt and you’re actually seen at the time you’ve set.- she’s trust worthy. When I scheduled my appt I asked how much she would charge. This is the FIRST time I’ve ever had my hair braided and the price quoted to me over the phone was the same in person. I tend to always tip however when you change your prices without explanation then I don’t feel valued as a customer. She really made me feel like she valued me as a customer.I will say my only negative is being in an atmosphere where you’re speaking in your native tongue so your guests don’t understand you so your guests feel left out. Because of her vibe I didn’t feel that she was speaking negatively of her guests but I’ve been in these environments and you KNOW they are being negative without you understanding a word they’re saying.Overall it was a very positive experience for me.
