I decided to try Whitson Barber Shop, and I’m so glad I did. I l love the fact that this place has an old-school feel to it, right down to the straight razor on your neck with warm shaving cream. The two guys in there are very friendly and welcoming, too. This is,by far, the best haircut I’ve had in years. This is now my go-to place for a haircut–no more chain-based shops or salons. Something worth pointing out is that they do not accept credit or debit cards, so be sure to bring cash.

Gary, the original owner stared his shop the year I was born and I started getting my hair cut there around the age of 5. I am surprised with the amount of life lessons I learned from him over 25 years in 15 minute increments. His nephew Jon has picked up where his uncle left off. Jon, and the other barber Arnold, provide an excellent service at an excellent price. The conversation that occurs while there is truly priceless. If you need a haircut, beard trim, or some great conversation, don’t hesitate on visiting Whitson’s barber shop.
