Gina is fantastic and really listened to my very specific requests. I felt my shoulder-length straight hair was quite washed out after the last hairdresser made me super-blond (which I definitely did not ask for). Gina gave me perfect high and low lights and covered all the grey. The color is multi-dimensional and beautiful. She also gave me the chunky layers I asked for. I came away feeling I was really listened to and my hair looked beautiful. Gina is very laid back and easy to talk to, so the whole experience was really perfect and I’m looking forward to my next visit! Huge bonus that she’s in a great Old Town location so I can do some shopping or grab some lunch before or after. I have been going to Gina for years; moving with her from Old Town to Shirlington and then to Alexandria Hair Lounge. My husband started going to Gina after a few too many bad haircuts from other places and now all 3 of my children (12 y/o, 8 y/o and 2 y/o) get their hair cut by her as well. I have had every color, highlights and both long and short cuts and have always LOVED all of them! My husband’s hair is very thick, straight and super hard to cut, but Gina always seems to make it look effortless. When you find someone who really knows hair (and can keep up a great conversation), you stick with them. We love her and her new place!!

She gave me a Lob just what I wanted and toned my hair color (had a real nice tint to my hair). Then, I followed her to her own studio that she has now. However, recently I tried a different salon and the stylist messed up my Lob. I texted Gina, made an appt with her, and she FIXED my Lob!!! I went in with hair that had grown out and was very damaged and I wanted to get it all cut off into a shorter style and she did an AMAZING job!!!! I went in with hair that had grown out and was very damaged and I wanted to get it all cut off into a shorter style and she did an AMAZING job!!!!
