Kinky Curly Sew-in. Love how quick she braided my hair and completed the entire process! Time is money and I hate sitting in a salon all day because the stylist is slow or overbooked!! Will call here first before I try to schedule with anyone else!! Seriously, good work and knows how to do styles /braids so it that fits the person’s unique face and head shapes. Alot stylist who braid or sew in don’t have this skill, and so you get cookie cutter braids that might fit one person well, but not accomplish the same result with another person. I appreciate the fact that they are able to achieve the optimal style that fits the face and suits the style of each individual client! That’s skill and talent!

Critical: Professionalism, PunctualityTo begin, the stylist was 45 mins late to my appointment. When I was asked about how long I wanted my twist, I was told I couldn’t get them that long. While sitting there for approx. 6 hrs the stylist in the shop talked extremely loud and yelled more than 50% of the time to the point where I was beyond ready to get out of the chair and my ears were ringing when I left. My hair was nicely done when finished. But after about 5 days my twist began to unravel. My stylist had not tied my two strand twist at the bottom so for the price that I paid I was extremely upset. I contacted the owner Essa so that I could come in and have them fixed. She initially told me to call her so that I could let her know when I could come in. I called multiple times as well as text and she never replied. So within a month my hair looks beyond old and needed to be taken out when usually they would last and look nice for about 2 months. To begin, the stylist was 45 mins late to my appointment. When I was asked about how long I wanted my twist, I was told I couldn’t get them that long. My niece came to visit from our of state. She does not live in a town that has any other black ppl and therefore, no black hair braiding or stylists. Her hair was dry and matted, it took me hours to even get a wide tooth comb through it. Much more than I could handle on my own. This establishment worked all the knots out of her medium length natural 4z hair and had her hair beautifully braided in box braids in about 5hrs. The braids were all equal in length and thickness as well. I’m amazed and will be trying them out myself soon.

BOLD&BEAUTIFUL
Critical: Punctuality, QualityDon’t do it! Wish I could give 0 stars!Went in for Nubian twist. Lady did a twist and asked did I like it. I said no. She tried to tell me I had the wrong hair. I didn’t! Another braider came and I was pleased with her twist. She did the front and sides, and low and behold the first lady came back to finish my back. The back of my hair is a hot mess. I was told there was nothing wrong it. Now before they even started on my hair I told them I can switch to box braids. Lady that did the front and sides of my hair said she got it. The owner was only willing to take off 20 for this horrible hair job. My ends are a mess. Their attitude reflected that they had no care, just wanted the money. Poor customer service skills. Did I mention the lady who was scheduled to do my hair was late. Never going here again. Military family don’t waste your time and money. They don’t care!Don’t do it! Critical: QualityThese people charged me $250 for 20 knotless braids in my head and my hair is already frizzing up . She made my parts big af nothing compared to the picture I showed her. I will never in my life go here again and I drove and hour and a half. I was so upset . All they care about it YOUR MONEY!!!! . Also was watching them do other people’s hair and they don’t know how to tuck AT ALL! I walked into the salon with braids previously done by another stylist in order to display that I wanted a smaller version of the exact braids I already had. To be more specific I already had 6 cornrows and inquired about having my hair braided in 12 cornrows instead. There was only one braided thawed, I was given a quote of $100 for 12 braids and was asked to come back in 3 hours, that would give me enough time to remove my braids, wash and blow dry my hair and come back. When I returned the lady started on my hair right away, however I stopped her when I realized she parted my hair sideways as if she were about to give me braids going to the side. She told me she was going to add a single row of single braids. I told her that wasn’t what I asked for and to just give me 12 regular cornrows. She tells me that if I don’t allow her to add the single braids she won’t be able to give me 12 braids. I’ve never heard of anything like but I said whatever it doesn’t have to be 12. She pulled the hell out my hair the entire time she was braiding it and her excuse when I complained was I’m just tender headed. Right before she braided the cornrows down I asked her if she could add more hair, she told me that would make them too long…she literally had an excuse each time I bought something to attention as to why she couldn’t do my hair like I was asking her. Just as I thought because I’ve been getting my hair braided for years, when she was done my braids were not the size or length I requested. When I told her I wasn’t happy with my hair, she literally argued with me for 20 minutes yelling at the top of her lungs about why my hair wasn’t done the way I asked, when all she had to do was fix my hair. I left with my hair as it was because when she finally agreed to fix it I didn’t want her touching my head. I will NEVER go back to this salon again.
