This hair salon is excellent 🙂 from the moment you walk in you will be greeted with friendly staff who have an open heart and strive to give you their best. I have had box braids and corn rows done at this salon and coming from California their prices are more than fair. I will be a regular and loyal customer at this salon for years to come. Do not miss a chance to check this place out, you hair will look amaizing :).

Greatest place in Grand Forks to get your hair braided. Musu is very friendly and usually responds to texts right away. This is the only place I go to for haircuts and box braids. Braids, Hairstyling, Haircut, Box Braids

I love Musu she’s so sweet. She helped me find the right braiding hair for my daughter’s hair. I bought 2 packs of it and there’s enough hair for 4 different styles.

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI’ve been here twice and both times musu had me walking out looking like I belong to somebody! She doesn’t charge an arm + leg and has braiding hair in the shop. She has help sometimes to finish quick and my hair is always neat and exactly what I wanted. Will keep going back til I move!Service: Hair extensions

She has been nothing but sweet to me, gives me great advice about helping me grow my hair and help me with my daughter’s hair who is biracial. She charges less than what i would pay if I used a hair braided back in MN. I always look great in the hairstyles she gives me and she doesn’t braid tight. I will miss her when I move to another state, she’s the best I have encounter and I recommend her to everyone

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Quality, ValueI absolutely love Musu & her crew! Her daughter is learning to take braids out & because I trust Musu, I definitely trust her daughter, even though she is a child. I have no problems tipping everyone who touches my hair. I was so afraid of moving to ND because I keep my hair natural, I can’t do my own hair, & I knew that all of the hair salons wouldn’t know anything about ethnic hair. After searching, I found Decontee’s and Musu. When I move to Fargo, I will gladly still make my trips to GF to get my hair done! I have only had split ends once & I’ve been here since July 2016. Musu takes pictures of my hair after it’s been combed & blow-dried. Some people come in & think I’m getting weave or extensions, but Musu tells them that I don’t like that stuff. I have been around their Liberian community so much that I can understand what is being said, but I only know a few words of Liberian English to communicate (usually about the size of my braids lol). I encourage anyone who wants braids, whether it’s natural or not, to go see Musu & her associates. It’s worth it!The only thing I don’t like, which has nothing to do with Musu, is that when other customers come in and see my hair, they talk about me instead of to me. Example: “She has really long hair.” or “Is that her real hair? It’s really thick.” I don’t mind the comments, even though I get self-conscious, but if you’re in the same room as me and you want to make comments, don’t talk about me as if I don’t understand. Talk to me! I will respond in kind with a “Thank you.” If you talk about me as if I’m not there, I won’t say anything because you are not giving me the compliment. It may sound petty, but it’s just good etiquette in my opinion. I would be okay if someone came in, saw my hair, and if Musu needed to leave the room to check them out, they made the comment. That’s understandable. But being in the same room as me, talking about me or my hair, instead of talking to me, is kind of annoying and I feel like I’m being shown disrespect.I absolutely love Musu & her crew! I have been going to this braiding place for a few months now, at first she did an amazing job and always was soo sweet. But soon after the manners faded, I would come in on time to my scheduled appointments and she would constantly be on her phone and even leave the room with half my hair braided for 30 minutes – hours. I’d have to get up and look for her and one of the workers would tell me she got “tired” and they would help me, the other girls are super professional and very polite unfortunately you have to go through her to schedule. When I recently tried to schedule she became very rude with me asking me why I was asking the price amount so many times. I was asking because I had changed the length of the braids I wanted and usually the price is depending on the size and length of the braids you want. I will no longer be going here! Being a consistent long term customer I think I would get treated better especially since I’m paying!
