The barber is right in the way I should be fair in the way in tell the story and exactly what happened…the reason for the 2.5 instead of 5 stars is that they may not have had the experience or the ability to do a line up and and a fade on the side of a black man but I am happy with them telling me that they won’t be able to in a condescending tone(least that’s what I felt like it was). I live a hour and a half away with no actual barbershops that are good or experienced with ethnic hair which is okay no fault so I was suggested to look in Knox and this barbershop had good reviews and some ok pics but didn’t know if my hair would be able to be accommodated because it’s styled and don’t know if this place was able to accommodate my hair so I called and asked if I could just get a line up and a fade and was told that they can’t do it in a condescending and I cancelled the appointment I had, and I left a poor review at first and was banned cause of the poor review(so don’t leave poor reviews if you don’t want to get banned) and the barber called me furious that I left the poor review without coming in despite HE HIMSELF told me he couldn’t cut my hair and even cancelled the appointment and then banned me from the shop without even seeing me. So I am happy they at least told me they were not able to cut my hair

Moved to Knoxville from Kentucky and have been looking for a new barber. Tried many other barber shops in the city, and while they were not bad, they weren’t delivering exactly what I wanted. Found Pike Barber shop through asking around on UTK campus, and I have to say WOW. Max did an excellent job, and was extremely professional. With minimal description of what I was wanting, Max was able to get it perfect. The whole vibe of the shop was great and can definitely say they are the best I’ve found in Knoxville.

I’ve been coming here a few times when I wanted to cut my hair into a mullet and these guys have been amazing. I’ve never step inside a barber shop as a woman until this year and very happy to have used this shop. They are super professional and clean. I always get to listen on funny conversations while getting my hair cut. Even today when I came in for a fix on my botched cut from another business they jokingly messed with me and helped me look amazing. I love this place and would recommend them to anyone! ❤️

I’ve been around these dudes since razor sharp, nothing has changed but the scenery. Elliot, Eric, Max, & Myles are all great barbers, and even better people. If you want a great cut with great conversation, this is your spot. I wouldn’t go anywhere else in Knoxville, period. I moved down from Chicago, these guys are the real deal.

I’m confused by all the positive 5 star reviews. I am new to Knoxville I had just moved from a different state and from seeing all the good reviews I decided to try this barbershop. Set up an appointment with Myles, went to the appointment, only to leave 15-20 minutes later? I was pretty disappointed that he worked on me for such a short amount of time. The barbers I’m used to going to have you seated in the chair for 45-60 minutes performing their craft on you like you’re some sort of masterpiece canvas. I didn’t get that from this barbershop at all. Also I didn’t like the haircut I received it looked lazily done like I came out of great clips. My conclusion is Pike Barbershop is more of a fast service barbershop giving mediocre haircuts instead of quality time haircuts. I was quite disappointed with this place with the lack of quality for being new to Knoxville, so with that, I most likely won’t go back.
