Honestly I was super excited to get my hair done by Kiani but am so incredibly disappointed with my experience. I left the salon with my hair curled (which clearly can cover up imperfections). I trusted that it was a job well done and didn’t think I needed to go through my hair to check her work. Two days later I text about my hair being darker on one side and was told to “feel it out” for a week. Fine, whatever, let’s see if it lifts on its own to a lighter shade of blonde a week later. After the week passes, I reach out again after now having washed and blown out my hair straight for the first time since getting it done and can see how awful it actually looks. Not only is it darker on one side, but the blending on it is the worst I’ve ever seen. After sending another photo of how dark it was on the one side PLUS a photo of the harsh line through the middle of my hair, I was told (after her not responding for 5 days) that I had to wait over a month from when it was originally done for it to be fixed. Needless to say I had to go to someone else to get my color corrected. Worst of all is the lack of responsibility taken for what was done to my hair and then blaming ME for “not making it seem urgent.” Oh and refusing to refund me, citing a policy on their website that says they offer solutions – a refund IS a solution! Of course NOW after our disagreement they have edited said policy with a line about not offering refunds. Photos are from both me seeing it at home/what I sent to Kiani and the pics the stylist took while correcting my hair.

Critical: Professionalism, QualityI had a similar experience at this salon. I explicitly told Kiani that I didn’t want any ash tones in my hair and then she used an ash based toner and my hair came out very dark with green undertones. She acknowledged her mistake and apologized, but I was there for three hours while she tried to fix it by washing my hair over and over again because she didn’t have a clarifying shampoo in the salon to help speed the process. I ended up having to go back the next week and she still didn’t do what I asked. When I texted her to ask if I could come back for a few more highlights I got the same response as the previous poster. Needless to say I never went back and had to find someone who could take the ash tones out. Be very wary of letting Kiani do your color. However, Brendan is a very talented hair stylist and I’m sad that I can’t go to him anymore. I literally couldn’t love Kiani more. Before I found her, I used to leave my color appointments in tears because I never felt like it was the right tone. Enter Kiani: I leave happier each time. As of late, she turned me into a bleach & tone with a shadow root and I want to cry tears of joy because she made my wildest blonde dreams come true. I cannot believe I have the hair I’ve always wanted and I am so thankful for her for always listening, taking her time so keep my hair healthy and making each visit so much fun! Brendan also gives me an amazing cut and the best blowout in the city!

Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, QualityKiani (owner) is friendly, acts professional, and knows what she is doing. I drove an hour to see her, and will continue to do so! I have been out of college for 9 years, and haven’t found someone who listens to what I want my hair to look like and execute it correctly…..until now! Kiani blocks off individual time towards each client, unlike other salons who are working on multiple heads at once. Kiani also doesn’t play the game, “well, to get you at the color you want, you’ll have to come back several times. “ Nope. You go in, she gives you the time necessary to get you what you want, and then you are on your way. Because I wanted such a change in my color, I did spend some time there and money. However, I would much rather do that than leave unsatisfied. Kiani also checks your hair and allows you to check your hair before leaving Incase you want any corrections. I didn’t want any corrections, but am pointing this out due to another client’s review. I just recently moved to the area and I absolutely love this place! Kiani and Brendan are the absolute best!! Not only are they excellent at what they do but just damn good people as well! Brendan always cuts my hair exactly how I want it! And Kiani always does my sisters hair just perfect! I highly recommend this place!
