This place… MUST VISIT.!! This is how I’d like to be treated ALL the TIME! The service here was impeccable. I arrived a bit early so was treated to a complimentary cocktail that was made to perfection (Old fashioned). The bartender was very friendly and engaged in general banter that made the beginning of this experience wonderful. My barber (Hannah) soon was available and treated me to a very pleasurable haircut. Conversation was not forced and Hannah made me feel at ease as she was meticulous in her attention to the perfect cut.

If you need a cut, trim, shave, whatever hair styling you get, you gotta get down to Scissors and Scotch and go see Amanda. No, really, right now. Fantastic service, every time. I always leave refreshed and in style. Amanda does an amazing job of keeping me looking fresh, focusing on my hair style needs, and taking an interest in how things are going for me. She’s exceptionally skilled at her craft and takes pride in her work. Scissors and Scotch is a fantastic place to get all your hair styling needs in one place. Make an appointment now; it’ll be the best decision you’ll make today.

All I have to say is the hype is very much real, theyr work is perfect. Very professional barbers, make it a great experience, communicative, positive, encouraging, and very open-minded. They give you what they want plus more making it a unique style only you feel like you have. To sum it up I went in looking to cut all my hair off and ended up leaving with a beautiful haircut. Overall 10/10 on everything. There is parking next to the building it’s kind of hidden and yes it’s free. Customer Service was a 10/10. Give you a complimentary free drink after your first haircut, and 10$ off your first haircut too if they like you enough. (I am a man, who got his long hair cut off, so if they’re able to deal with that and give me a great short hairstyle they can do it with any hairstyle). Will be returning soon.

Amanda B at Scissors and Scotch in Arlington is absolutely wonderful! She is personable, very detailed, and a true professional. Not only does she genuinely care about her clients but she made me feel like I was her most important customer! If you have a chance to make it to Scissors and Scotch be sure to ask for her, I promise you will not be disappointed! On another note, how cool is it that you can also have a drink before or after your haircut. Like seriously that’s the coolest. Amanda you are One of a Kind, and thank you again!!!

I actually really liked the place. The person that cut my hair was super nice and cut my hair well. The problem was my beard. I asked for a simple trim and shape up. The barber completely shaved my cheeks to the point where there is nothing there. I’ve been to a bunch of barbers and never seen this happen when I said a trim and shape up. I have a wedding to go to the next day and ended up shaving my entire beard because of this. Honestly really wanted to like this place but the issue with my beard and the fact I paid $90 with tip is an issue for me.

I was recommended to give Scissors & Scotch a try by a co-worker. When I first arrived, the front bar space was well-appointed and had a good variety of spirits, beers, ciders, and coffee available. My stylist, Sally, was personable and skilled. She worked with me to get precisely the cut that I was after.

Went in for the 25 year treatment as my first time. Was a great relaxing experience. Nap time mode activated. Definitely a de-stressing experience along with a great haircut. Enjoyed a coffee and bubble water after. I am on a not drinking challenge, but would have otherwise enjoyed a stronger drink. Folks were friendly, professional and a good bar selection.

Honestly, they have always been super kind and professional. I’ve been in twice now and paid a pretty solid amount for them to cut my hair way too short. I come in with pictures and a description of what I want. Today they even admitted it was cut super short, but it was okay because it “looked good”. It was a pleasant experience, but not what I asked for. I likely won’t be back – great location, kind employees, but little regard for my curly hair…

I got a gift certificate from my wife for Christmas because I hadn’t had a professional shave in a while. The last place did an amazing job so I was excited to do it again. The staff at S & S was really friendly. The place was clean and comfortable. I got the full shave…and got pretty cut up in a few places. I shave my face at home (sometimes with a multi-blade and sometimes electric) so I know my hairs are coarse in places. After the shave, most of my face was fine, but there were definite cut spots from the tip of the razor near my mouth and on the lower part of my neck, and this wasn’t just razor burn. It took 3 days for them to heal…with the proper application of ointment. My wife was rather upset given what she paid for the gift card. There were also still quite a few hairs around my mouth, and I wouldn’t call the final product a close shave. I had to shave more when I got home (got closer with electric…which shouldn’t happen). I just think the shaving process might need more work. But after spending $90 + tip (also tried ear waxing), I think that it wasn’t worth the price we paid. The drink was good, but the selection of quality product was limited if you aren’t a member. They may be excellent barbers, I wouldn’t know as I didn’t try. I’m happy to give them another shot in the future.

I have bounced around to cheaper places for a haircut but have finally landed on Scissors and Scotch. It is a great place for a haircut – all of the stylists are talented. I also don’t need to go home and change clothes after the haircut – they ensure your hair stays there and doesn’t make your collar/shirt “itchy”. After your haircut you get a beer/cocktail. The Old Fashioned is incredible.
