I’ve had hair for most of my life, minus that one time I cut it myself (leave it to the professionals). Tried bunches of places – I’ve gotten ok haircuts, but not to the quality I have received at BHBC. Even though this may make my life harder – book Ian. Dude does an incredible job, he understands hair. I’ve NEVER had someone tell me how my hair flows and recommend a cut based on the patterns, until this guy. I feel like I should have, but just didn’t? What gives? So anyways, hair looks great, the wife compliments me on it- by proxy this is a compliment to Ian.

Black Heart is great! These guys know how to cut hair and they love their job. The most important part is that I have never met a barber other than Hunter who can actually cut a real fade and do the sides of a man’s hair. He is an artist as much as a barber. I get compliments all month long! The first time I went, I didn’t know if I was in an underground music venue, an art gallery, Tijuana, or hipster paradise. This barber shop makes me feel cool just by being there!

I love this place. I drive 30 minutes from Temple Hills every three wks because Ian is a perfectionist & a great conversationalist. I went to three separate barbers before finding Ian at his previous location, only ten minutes from home and when he moved locations, I was more than happy to follow. A great barber/stylist is not easy to find. The shop itself has a great atmosphere with fun, nostalgic & modern decor. You’re eye will see something new at each visit. As for music, they’ve always got something good playing. Parking requires a QR Code registration, but it’s free and I’ve always been able to secure a spot in front of the shop.

I’ve been to multiple barbershops since I moved to Nashville and this place is by far the BEST. I’ve been to Ryan, the owner, 3 times already and every time he has absolutely nailed the hair cut that I asked for. Great service. Great people.
