Critical: QualityI hardly ever leave bad reviews but this is pretty bad. I got highlights done by Anne 3 weeks ago. Worst highlights I’ve ever had done. Positive: Professionalism, QualityFirst time getting my hair cut/colored since moving down south, and all I can say is wow!!! My stylist (I apologize, I forget her name) was wonderful. I told her to cut and highlight my hair however she thinks would look best and she delivered! I got several inches chopped off which added some volume and very subtle highlights for summer time!The overall ambiance of the place is so charming. It is posted up in a centuries-old home. I was offered banana bread that another client had brought, and made to feel right at home. Hats off to the way this place is run! It was extremely easy to make an appointment online and they sent several reminders of my appointment. It was hard to find the salon, I drove past it the first time. My stylist was Patricia, she was very nice and gave me a great cut although shorter than I wanted. I wasn’t expecting the price to be so high, $65 for a haircut is the most I’ve ever paid. I am surprised I wasn’t offered a beverage or anything while I was there. I almost felt out of place.

After reading the reviews, I set up a haircut appt with no preference in stylist. I’m so glad I was matched with Jennifer! She was so down to earth and did an amazing job! She listened to what I wanted and gave me an amazing bob in only 30 minutes…being a working Mom, this was a life saver! I have found my new regular stylist in the area 🙂

I was looking forward to a new modern hairstyle and full highlights. Upon arrival, I explained this to the stylist. While my highlights look okay, I am disappointed in my hair cut. It’s not (at all) the modern look I was hoping for, but instead a trim of what I already had. I feel that the appointment was rushed as for the stylist was working between myself and another client at the same time. As for the overall result of my hair it was more of a Hair Cuttery experience verses a boutique/salon experience where I spent a small fortune. In my opinion, it is not worth the money and I do not intend to go back.

I had an appt with Ann last week for an all-over color. The salon is beautiful and she was perfectly nice for the first half of the appt. After she put the color in my hair she had me sit and wait while she did highlights on another client. The timer went off to rinse my hair but Ann was still busy with the other client. After a few minutes she asked another employee to rinse my hair out. After my hair was rinsed I was sent back to wait for Ann to finish up with the other client. After 15-20 minutes Ann was finally ready for me again. She apologized for the wait and blamed it on the holiday rush. I told her I was disappointed to have to wait so long with wet hair and no towel to which she replied that I should have said something and she would have gotten me a towel. From that moment her attitude changed and I felt very rushed. She dried my hair and I expressed that I was concerned the color wasn’t even. She told me to give it a few days and let it fade and then begrudgingly took me outside with a mirror to show me it looked fine. When I got home I could tell it definitely wasn’t right. The color was blotchy and my roots (white hairs) were not covered at all. I called the salon and sent in photos. Ann called me and apologized for the misunderstanding and said she wasn’t being rude, she was just busy. I agreed to come back in and she fixed it. It looks great now but I will not be back. Both appts I listened to all of the stylists gossip, talk bad about other clients and other stylists and complain. It was overall an uncomfortable experience. I won’t be back. Three stars because it looks good now after she fixed it. Would have been one star otherwise.

Blonde Boutique and Salon is wonderful. I visited for both a color and cut correction, and the staff was so accommodating and good at what they do. I so wish I had booked there in the first place, but I was unfamiliar with the salons on the west side of Hampton Roads and ended up gravitating over to Virginia Beach, where I received very disappointing results. Patty at Blonde did such a beautiful job shaping and detailing my ultra short hairstyle. She is a true artist and was able to turn a very unflattering haircut into something beautiful, even though she admittedly had very little left to work with. Tom tackled my bad color job, and while he could not completely reverse the damage that had already been done, he did an excellent job getting the red out and evening the overall color tones. I’ve worked with many stylists around Hampton Roads to try and achieve what I want in a hairstyle. They all say the can do it, charge A LOT of money, but then the results are saddening. Blonde stood behind its upscale, relaxed image and styled me so that I was really happy when I left.

Awesome experience and great haircut!I just had to say that I paid $65.00. I have very fine, straight hair and I have never paid anywhere near $65.00 to cut a couple inches off…and I’m from California, where the price of everything is inflated!

Tom did my highlights, turned out great. Atmosphere is relaxed and beautiful, felt like family. I will be back for sure. Was offered coffee, water, or wine and was made to feel comfortable.

Celina did a fantastic job with my hair. I actually came in for a repair job. The other salon i went to the day before completely missed my intent and i was afraid I might be stuck with ruined hair that not only wasnt what i asked for, but was poorly done as well. Celina came to the rescue: helping restore and recolor my hair, and giving me tremendous peace of mind. Not only was my problem fixed, but she exceedes my expectations. I love my hair.
