Wonderful place to go to get your haircut! The home away from home feel when entering the salon makes it feel peaceful when you step through the door. All the stylists are very knowledgeable in their craft. Everyone is easy to talk to and more than willing to help if you need them. I’ve gone to a couple of stylists at the salon and I’ve always left feeling like my best self. Love coming here and will continue to do so!

I followed Lynn when she decided to open her own salon: Coastal Roots Hair Salon because she knows the ins and outs of my hair and has given me the styles and haircuts that go with my hair texture. Lynn seems to know when I come in and sit in her chair, that I want a change in style before I even say anything! I have had the pleasure of meeting her hair stylists and I know her salon has a stylist to cater to the needs of the different clients who enter her beautiful salon. While waiting, you can take a look at the unique gifts the salon sells. I have purchased several for myself and others! I often get complimented on my hair. Lynn has been highlighting, cutting, styling, and taking care of my hair for the last 4 years. I have very curly, fragile, difficult hair but she recommended I try a Brazilian blowout.. my hair is now so manageable, shiny, and smooth! The salon is very clean, well maintained and the staff is so friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They have a great selection of hair products and their staff can take on pretty much any type of hair. I always walk out feeling like a million bucks, and I can’t recommend Coastal Roots enough!

I have been going to Lynn of Coastal Roots for over 15 years. She is an AMAZING stylist. She cuts, colors and highlights my hair every month. She also does my Brazilian blow outs. Her staff and salon are full of positive energy. I have also had GREAT experiences with Bridget for blowouts and have used Katrina multiple times for makeup. This is my one stop shop. Make it yours.

I had an unfortunate experience with the stylist, Jo who is listed as the owners lead assistant. Although my situation has been cordially corrected, I feel like it shouldn’t have happened. I went in with already highlighted hair and needed my highlights to be brought back up to my roots & Jo seemed to have no problem with it. What I think happened is that she left the toner for too long because I walked out with dark and gray streaky hair. While washing the toner out, she made the comment on how if I felt the color was too dark after blow drying, she could strip it. Which made me realize that she knew she messed up. After she finished drying my hair, I was in sort of a shock, I asked if it would wash out & she said yes “4-5 washes”.

This salon is very unprofessional and they do not fix their mistakes. They do not accept responsibility for them either. Their prices are high and they treat their customers unfairly. This is a very bad place to go if u want your hair to be done properly. What you ask for is not what you get… The manager is hard to get a hold of also and the receptionist does not follow through with anything she promises so if they mess your hair up go straight to the manager. Not that that will do you much good either because she seems to be easily aggravated and blames customers for her staff’s mistakes.
