Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, QualityEmily is amazing!! I was more than impressed with her work. She was flawless in her technique, very detailed, & took the extra time to make sure my hair looked perfect. We stayed well after close & she didn’t try to rush anything. The atmosphere is great & calming as well. The salon is beautiful. My before & after pictures speak for themselves. I had a MAJOR confidence boost for sure. Emily is amazing!! I was more than impressed with her work. She was flawless in her technique, very detailed, & took the extra time to make sure my hair looked perfect. We stayed well after close & she didn’t try to rush anything. The atmosphere is great & calming as well. The salon is beautiful. My before & after pictures speak for themselves. I finally found a salon to call home! Lexi at House of Aglaia has seen my hair at it’s worst and taken it to it’s best. Everyone in this salon is a joy to work with and they are so reasonably priced. Emily Corbin is a goddess, and makes sure my hair is perfect every time I walk out those doors. The overall atmosphere is hip, upbeat, and welcoming. I’ve lived in several states, tried at least 9 different salons and been committed to blonde hair (as a natural brunette) for over 12 years now … and HOA is by far my favorite hair salon. Emily Corbin is a goddess, and makes sure my hair is perfect every time I walk out those doors. The overall atmosphere is hip, upbeat, and welcoming. I honestly couldn’t imagine finding another salon and stylist that I would like more.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueBy far the worst salon experience I have ever had. I went in for a balayage and it looked like nothing was done to my hair. I reached out to the stylist and the salon multiple times hoping they would help me out and fix the color for me but I was told they charge for color and not end results and to look for a new stylist instead after they charged me double of what I paid the first time I went. Maybe if I looked like their other clients I would of been taken serious.. waited days to hear back from manager and owner before writing this review but lesson learned. By far the worst salon experience I have ever had. I went in for a balayage and it looked like nothing was done to my hair. I reached out to the stylist and the salon multiple times hoping they would help me out and fix the color for me but I was told they charge for color and not end results and to look for a new stylist instead after they charged me double of what I paid the first time I went. The rail crossing at Poplar pike is right by this salon so it’s a very real risk! I booked in advance through the Vagaro app and had a credit card on file to reserve my time. I walked in the door right as they were calling me to cancel, literally answering the phone when walking in the door. The stylist did not even come to greet me, she begrudgingly came out when I asked the girl at the desk to talk to her. They showed no flexibility and cancelled. I was booked for a full Balyage service with Alyssa (at least 3 hour service) and I was very excited for the appointment and blocked the whole morning to come. So if you are excited to pamper yourself and get some fresh color, I would hard pass on this salon…I have recommended it in the past but can’t anymore.
