Lorraine Hair Braiding

Critical: ProfessionalismI don’t usually leave reviews but my encounter with this service has left me extremely frustrated and I’d like to warn others so you don’t have to waste your time and gas like I just did.Finding a decent braiding stylist is hard to come by in this area; so when I read the reviews and saw the pictures, I immediately made an appointment and was excited to do business with them. First issue: I called to inquire about an email I sent asking for an appointment for that upcoming Thursday or Friday and when the stylist answered, she told me was busy at the time with someone’s hair but will email me back as soon as she was done. I got that email 24 hours later stating she had availability for that Thursday and Friday. I emailed her back ~4 hours later stating I would take the Thursday appointment only to be met with, “that’s already taken, but I still have availability for Friday.” That was a little frustrating but I went ahead and booked for Friday at 9. I then called that Wednesday before to reschedule for today, (Sunday April 11, 2021), because my babysitter cancelled on me and my husband would be at work. She emailed me back stating she would be able to fit me in at 1pm and I emailed her back verifying that time. Fast forward to me driving to the facility and giving her a call to confirm where her business was since the building had multiple establishments. The stylist states that she emailed me saying someone else took my 1pm appointment and that she text my number about it but that person told her “wrong number” ….. I was disappointed that I just fought traffic and prepped my hair to get it done at the original appointment time but asked if she was available at all today or tomorrow. She told me she wasn’t available today and she had to check to see if she was available tomorrow and would give me a call back. I asked if she could check then since I would have to possibly make arrangements to ask someone to watch my child. She went on to say she would give me a call if someone cancelled for tomorrow. I verified that she was telling me she did not have availability for neither today or tomorrow and proceeded to end the conversation at that point. Very disappointed with the professionalism and lack of respect for others’ time.TL;DR: Communication with the stylist was difficult for me and after rescheduling several times, I drove to the facility for the appointment and was told someone else took the time I asked for even after confirming my appointment. I hate to say this is a “you get what you pay for” situation. Positive: ValueI saw her again today and once again she slayed! Triangle knotless braids and I loved them!Lorraine was very polite and professional. She was on time for our 8 AM appt. I called her and got an appointment right away. She did exactly what i asked for and overall my experience was great. I absolutely love my Senegalese twist. I found Lorraine online and she did my braids today, 13 June 2020. She was quick, efficient, and affordable. She is very nice and professional, and the braids were of excellent quality and beautiful! She also cleaned and wiped everything down to take appropriate precautions for the Covid 19 pandemic.Love my hair. Wonderful experience !!!!
