Very pleased with this local business.I recently moved to the area and we all know finding a new salon is a bit nerve wrecking. I have curly hair and a decent amount of grays and was happy with my stylist in VA. I didn’t have any recommendations to go off of because I work with all men, so I researched some places online. I was impressed with the professional website and pictures of a clean, beautiful salon.I decided to take a leap of faith because I have a wedding this weekend – and it was definitely the right choice! I was greeted by the owner, Rachel, who also was my stylist. She had a great demeanor, smile and was very professional. She chatted with me for a bit and was amazing about matching my color (I brought in the specifics from my last stylist) and letting me get all my hair history blurted out! (I can be intense but she was super patient.) I feel like she truly cared about what I had to say.My hair came out great! She colored the roots separately which makes a huge difference in blending and cut my bangs and layers dry. So huge for me as a curly girl. (Long hair with short layers is a no go for me!) It came out looking great and I walked out with a boost of confidence.Other great things about this salon – super clean, well decorated. The staff is friendly which I always enjoy. You can tell Rachel is passionate about her business. The prices were also fantastic for the quality of customer service I received. I was taken for my appointment right when I got there even though I was early. Also the shampoo chairs are very comfortable and don’t hurt your neck like the traditional ones.This is definitely my new home salon. Unfortunately before I discovered Meraki, I had a horrible color application done by a high-end colorist in Nashville. I wanted a pretty, classy blonde and was given yellow/orange gold chunks with horrible blending. It looked so trashy.I had a color correction done at Meraki by Rachel Corey and not only did she do an excellent job, but she was very friendly too. It was clear by how she treated me and the time she spent with me that she truly cares about her clients and their desired look.I cannot say enough about how amazing my experience was. I found Meraki and called to schedule an appointment with a stylist. They paired me with Kristina who is absolutely amazing. Rachel (owner) is extremely professional; every time I come in for my appointment, she greets you with a warm smile and let’s the stylist know I’ve arrived. I have never waited more than 5-10 mins to get in the chair. This place is gorgeous and very, very clean! I have been coming here for about a year now and come in every 5-6 weeks without fail. I’m very particular about the products that go on my hair, which is why I chose this salon! Kristina is perfection every. single. time. She just gets it – she’s honest with you, never tries to oversell any service or product to you that you don’t need. If you have an idea, she will listen and give professional recommendations and offer suggestions based on what YOU want, not what she wants. She’s willing to go the distance with you and I always walk out knowing that my color is amazing, the cut is amazing, and I’ve received the best value for my money. That’s the thing too – you always want to know, did I get the best value for the products and services I received? Unequivocally, yes. They paired me with Kristina who is absolutely amazing. I got my haircut here, and my hair isn’t the easiest because it has a long, frizzy, wavy and curly texture. I asked for her opinion/advice because I contemplated on cutting all my long hair off due to its texture and my face shape. She reassured me and BOY, I was so glad I followed through! Rachel is such a lovely, bubbly, beautiful soul, inside and out! I felt so comfortable while she was cutting my hair and the end results was absolutely gorgeous!
