Bad Experience. I made a reservation a through Google. When I got there It was not busy but I was told that a staff member had written the appointment illegibly, so I’d have to wait. I waited 40 minutes while they took 2 people in front of me. Finally a stylist came and led me straight to the sinks. I didn’t want my hair washed but she insisted it would be easier to cut that way (I never had a problem at other salons). This must have racked up the price considerably, since all I requested was a 3″ trim and the bill came to $70 plus tip. So I paid over $70 for a simple trim without coloring or anything else special. The cut looks fine, but I am looking for a cheaper place with better service and pricing.

Just had Linda cut my hair at New Image. I like the cut very much. I appreciated how Linda listened to me and what I wanted her to do with my hair. She was friendly and fun. The salon is clean and attractive and easy to get to. It’s in a strip mall so the parking is also easy and free. The salon takes walk-ins but when I called to ask if they did, they recommended I make an appointment for half an hour later since they were busy at that moment. I was thankful of their respect for my time. The woman who greeted me when I walked in was also very friendly. The price was fair for the service done. Would definitely go back.

I was standing in line behind a woman whose hair cut & color were so professionally and naturally done that I had to say something. That kind stranger shared her stylist’s name and shop and that is how I found Lee at New Image. It was such a relief to find someone who made my color look so blended with very subtle lights and knew how to cut my fine longish hair with long layers so that it had shape to it.

Such an amazing experience! This was honestly one of the best highlighting experiences I have ever had. I have tried a lot of different places in the DC area, sometimes recommended by friends and sometimes because they had a special, and have never felt so happy with the price and results. I was a little nervous trying a new place right before my wedding but wanted to check this out because of the great reviews and how close it was to my house. I feel bad that I forgot my hairstylists name but she was of Vietnamese background and absolutely wonderful. She was warm and friendly, easy to talk to but gave me time to just sit back and relax too. But the end result is what will keep me coming back. The highlight/lowlight combo was amazing and made my hair look so much more even and put together than when I walked in. I definitely recommend going here! Even though I am moving, I will try my best to make the drive so that I can keep using her because it can be so hard to get a stylist that can get your colors just right.
