I am just sad and at a loss for words because I had faith in this salon since early 2020. Currently, my hair will NEVER be the same, and I always had pride in never having a perm. About a month ago, I received a silk press from Taylor. I came home from the salon and my sister and mom ask why I smell like a got a perm. I thought they were overreacting, but I was wrong. Later, I washed my hair and it smell like a straight relaxer. I look at my hair once I was finished and I was shocked.

Critical: ProfessionalismIt’s the lack of communication for me. I went here once and before I went, I called numerous times requesting to talk with Reba and do a consultation since this would’ve been my first appointment. (That never happened) so I spent the first 10 minutes of my appointment asking her many questions about natural hair, which she seemed to get annoyed. However, she pressed my hair out and it was really cute. So I figured maybe she just had a bad day or it was just a bumpy start, and I’ll give her another try.Fast forward two months later, I booked a flexible rod set for a photo shoot (a month in advance). I texted Reba asking her about the hairstyle just to ensure she can do my hair the way I wanted it. Never received any communication or a text back. And don’t bother calling, no communication there either.While my hair looked nice the first time, I will not be returning back. Honestly I booked Reba because she had so many positive reviews on their website, but we just didn’t vibe together at all and I do not like the energy she put out on our visit. It’s seemed as if she had an attitude. I cancelled my second appointment and will not come here again. Very disappointed as the shop is right around the corner from me and could’ve been a great spot. I haven’t had my hair done professionally in 5 years, so I’ve been doing my own hair (a lot of protective styles!) So I decided it was finally time to get a professional in my head. And that’s why I chose Pressed, because the reviews for the shop as a whole were great and selecting Reba to do my hair was even better. As soon as I stepped in, we immediately started talking about my hair and the steps she would be taking before she did anything; shampooing, blow drying, etc. I loved it! She was very professional, even when the phone would ring, she’d excuse herself and be right back. Then when she was done cutting my dead ends, I immediately saw the difference in my hair and how weightless it was. I let her do her thing and I’m so happy with the results. Thanks again!

My daughter is a client at Pressed and we are highly satisfied with every service that we get. We have been going to Reba since it opened. My daughter’s hair and scalp are healthy and her hair is growning. Any questions or concerns are addressed quickly and professionally. The salon is always clean and the staff is always professional.

I called Forever Young Beauty Bar for an appointment and was told that they were booked but there was someone at the sister salon that could fit me in. So I booked and went in for a silk press. She washed and conditioned my hair (so I thought). I kept hearing a crunching noise and when I asked what it was she stated that it was because my ends needed to be clipped. So once she began clipping my ends she stated “Oh, your ends really don’t need to be trimmed”. So basically she fried my hair. When I washed my hair, that’s when I discovered the heat damage. Oh, and I later found out that this salon is not affiliated with Forever Young Beauty Bar. BE CAREFUL LADIES!!!!

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueMe and my husband went in there and we were both gonna get hair cuts because we both scheduled one 2 days advance, and they said they couldnt do his haircut because he is a MAN. Reverse sexism? imagine if that tables were turned. I left there OUTRAGED. Needless to say, I didnt get my haircut there. We also saw mice running outside of their establishment. DISGUSTING!!! Bad neighborhood.
