Went here out of desperation before. They did a bad job. Went again out of desperation because it is like the only place open on Saturday. The old lady was so rude when I walked in and turned me away. Why be open if you aren’t willing to do your job? If you want a bad haircut and the stench of cigarettes on you, here is your place.

⚠️⚠️ My mom went to get her hair done by a a older woman and has a 4 yr and my moms hair was down to her chest and she asked for half a inch off and they cut 3 inches off and gave her layers and now the front of her hair is to her cheek bones and the bangs she had were cut and bring around to where it looks like a bowl cut so I would not recommend going here ⚠️⚠️

If I could give negative stars I would!!! I went to Riches in Marion VA this morning to get my hair cut. The look I was going for is in the one picture, I showed the B*tch the photo 3 different times. She turned me away from the mirror while she was cutting it and I couldn’t see to stop her. While she was doing her thing she measured how much she was going to take by pointing on my back where it’ll be. After she said she was finished I then looked in the mirror to find the disaster you see in the third picture. I was so devastated. I cried for about 3plus hours and still tear up thinking about it. I talked to her and she very rudely stated that I could have my money back and that she just looked at the picture incorrectly. She continued to be so very hateful with me. I asked to speak to the owner about the issue. She then stated that she had no boss and that I had no business telling her how to do her job. I called my daughter who then proceeded to calm me down. She took me to suite 109 beside @work and the lovely Riley did what she could and I could not be happier with the new hair style. So glad I don’t have to just shave it all off like I was about to do. Forever gonna be my hair salon now!

I have been getting my hair cut here for over 15 years today I went to get my hair cut and a young girl I have never seen before cut my hair. I wanted 2 inches cut and layered. You cannot even tell it was cut I said something but she never offered to fix it. I WILL NOT go back for sure.

After living in several states and returning to Va after several years I had no hairstylist, a friend recommended Riches, I got the best perm of my life there years ago so I took a chance. Nervously walked in Fri evening and just got signed in when a warm smile greeted me and immediately took me back. Kendra my stylist, asked how I wanted it, actually let me show her a picture and when in the past I asked others, I got sighs or recommended not for me. Kendra looked at it, and got to work. We enjoyed conversation about our kids, life and before I knew it..she was finished. I was sooo pleased she did every detail I asked for and aside from my grey showing its ugly self, my hair felt so much lighter and looked beautiful. After getting my eyebrows waxed as well..I felt so beautiful and I was 120%satisfied. I dnt to pay dreading what I was about to pay..Cut, style and eyebrows..less then 25.00..I grabbed a card wrote my new favorite stylist hours, days off and on. She is a definite asset and I’ve already recommended her. I am looking forward to a long happy future with Riches and Kendra!!

My mom went here to get a shampoo and a cut. The lady who was tall with black hair did not shampoo her hair. She told her just to trim it and she butchered her hair, she’s almost compleatly bald. She had the nerve to tell her that the next time she comes in to wash her hair. That she can’t cut hair that’s greasy. She’s on a limited income and wanted to treat herself and she made this an awful Experience for her.

They do a good job but the atmosphere isn’t as welcoming as it could be. Sometimes you have to wait awhile if your a walk in, hot coffee or cold water would be nice while you wait and a kids area or even just a couple of kids toys would be greatly appreciated for young waiting children
