I waited forever for an appointment with Maggie and it was worth it! I have seen her twice and look forward to my next appointment. When my hair gets too long and out of control, I use to chop it. But since Maggie has been doing it, there’s no need to. She is super friendly, takes her time, and ensures you love it before you walk out her door. I HIGHLY recommend her for any kind of curly hair you may have. My mixed curly hair loves her. She’s absolutely fantastic and her love for what she does shows.

Critical: QualityI recently had my hair cut at Salon Uplift. I’ve had a curly haircut with Maggie before and loved the result, so I decided to go again. Maggie wasn’t available so I went with Christi, who also had great reviews. Unfortunately, the haircut is not great. The layers are choppy and inconsistent with my curl pattern, plus it’s awkward and difficult to style. Even putting it in a braid is a struggle, something that has never caused me issues in the past.The experience was especially telling considering I’ve had a haircut with Maggie before. When I went to Maggie, she spent a lot of time cutting my hair and really examining it from every angle. Christi cut my hair in about 20 minutes, the rest of the time was washing and styling. I am not a hair stylist so I don’t know if this is a normal experience or not, but it did seem weird that the previous appointment with Maggie took a lot longer and was more in depth for the exact same service.I waited over a week to post this review, just in case this is a styling issue and I needed time to get it right, but unfortunately it’s still not looking good. Paying over 300 dollars for a haircut was already something I felt a little iffy about, but paying that much for a bad haircut really stinks. Christi was very nice, and I should note that I did not reach out to them so I don’t know if they would offer a return service to fix the issue. Maggie wasn’t available so I went with Christi, who also had great reviews. Unfortunately, the haircut is not great. This was my first time at Salon Uplift I saw Savannah, and she worked some magic! I made a significant color change, and she did not disappoint. I was nervous because I had color go wrong with a stylist at a different salon. I came in with a picture, explained what I wanted done different from the picture, and gave her some free reign in style. She helped me choose the colors (based on my skin tone) I wanted. She did some of the best, if not the best, color I have ever had done. This will be the place I will go for as long as she is here. Also, if you’re up to talk, she is happy to chat with you, and if you just want to get some work done (catch up on e-mails) or scroll on your phone, she is totally okay with that (sometimes us Mom’s don’t get time to mindlessly scroll or catch up on e-mails unless we are in a chair getting our hair done haha). They have refreshments available if you like (water, tea, coffee). The salon has a boho chic minimalist look (in my opinion) and is very welcoming and warm, with some nice music and plants all over (if you are lucky, you may get to hear Savanna sing a bit). Also, you know where you go to get your hair washed, and sometimes your neck kills you because of the weird angle on the sinks, not here! I was very comfortable! I also noticed they have some paintings on the wall from a local artist for sale; I love supporting small businesses! If you want a stylist with exceptional natural talent, go see Savannah, you will not be disappointed!
