We have had a good experience, they were kind and patient with my daughters. We went on a Saturday at the end of the afternoon and we were almost the last ones and we took our time without any rush. I give it 4 stars because the bathroom does not have a changing table for small children, in addition to the cars if they notice something old but they work correctly. It’s expensive for small children but I also understand that it’s a job where patience with children is worth it.

We had such a great experience for our first haircut! The package included a lock of hair, hair clips, nail polish, a balloon, and a photo for $40. The Power Wheels chairs are a nice touch, but they also have regular salon chairs for older kids. They also had screens for every chair, which meant my high-energy kid sat still. Tatiana was so nice!

They have TVs at every chair/toy car to keep kids entertained. They did the best they could with my hyperactive toddler and my daughter liked her cut and mani. ♀️ ♂️

We have always gone to the Lorton Sharkeys, but decided to give this new location a try. Never again. Our appointment was at 4:30. As we were pulling into the parking lot I got a text saying my appointment had been moved to 5:00. Very frustrating trying to entertain my 18 month old for 30 minutes while we waited. I had made 2 appointments with 2 different stylists in the hopes of it being faster…. That did not happen. The same individual did both cuts. Both cuts looked terrible and I ended up having to take my boys somewhere else to get the haircuts fixed.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! My four year old just went for her first haircut and the staff at Sharkey’s made her feel like an absolute princess! She got to play in a Frozen car and watch tv while her hair was cut. Nikki, her stylist, was so great with my little and gave her a hairstyle with colorful ribbons and clips. They even gave my daughter a rainbow colored manicure! We are definitely coming back!

My daughter is sensory sensitive and often takes time to adjust to new environments. They were so kind enough to accommodate her needs. Almaz cut her hair with much patience and care. Definitely will be back here for future cuts. Haircut

My 2.5 year old HATES haircuts. Cries tears of fear and anger every time. Almaz was AMAZING! She cut his hair in no time (about 20-30 minutes which is a record if your kid hates haircuts like mine). Used every opportunity of distraction and was able to get him to calm just enough to finish off his hair. Such a great experience. Definitely coming again. THANK YOU!

Tragedy struck today. I came in today with an appointment with Tati (someone we had before) and when we arrived Tati wasn’t there and they gave us Darrel. I’m too polite to say anything and he seemed very nice and understood I wanted to keep my sons hair longer but it definitely needed a trim. I provided a picture of what I wanted his hair to look like and after almost an hour we left looking like an extra from dumb and dumber. I truly believe he tried but it 100% missed the mark. The cars, balloons and tv are not worth the months it’s going to take to grow this out. We will not be returning. I don’t recommend even tho it has a great atmosphere.

After looking into all the options including Sharkey’s other locations in the area, we decided to give this one a try for the toddler’s first ever haircut. And it was the perfect decision! We booked Almaz for the first timer’s package and she was amazing – from greeting the family, accommodating to our little bit unavoidable delay (well, we got lucky with the crowd that day), welcoming my infant to stay aside, making the toddler feel very welcome & comfortable, providing alternative options when needed, you name it! T’iara (hope I spelled correctly) at the front desk claimed that she is a new employee, but it didn’t feel like it as she was humble, communicative and very jolly – provided the first nail paint on the toddler, ice cream, lollypop, cupcakes (well, from their first anniversary apparently) etc. The cut itself was perfect too based on what we wanted. The two’s team made the toddler truly feel like a princess with all the pampering. We are SOLD – this will be our go to salon in future. Thank you ladies!!

My 2 year old son loved getting his haircut here today. He got to pick which truck chair he could sit in and was thoroughly distracted and entertained the entire haircut. To top off the experience, it was the best haircut he’s ever had. Fabulous job! Haircut
