Toni did a superlative job doing corrective color with natural highlights for my hair today!! She had to fix a completely botched haircut that was done yesterday. She fixed the haircut perfectly! She also provided some great tips for my hair. Great experience. Recommend her for cut, color and highlights! Thanks Toni, I am a totally satisfied customer 🙂

Owner is not a people person, she lacked compassion and open communication. I do think she does decent work, however, I don’t believe her prices reflect, as I think this salon is overpriced and lacks proper customer service. For example, she got very snippy with me and rolled her eyes more than once – my opinion, it wasn’t a very professional experience. We got into a little tiff because I was hoping she would walk me through what her plans were and she took this very negatively, assuming I was questioning her experience as a stylist. Also, she was pretty standoffish with my two year old daughter, who was very well behaved and doing the best she could. Overall, she did a nice job but it was definitely not the experience I was hoping for being a bride and it being the morning of my wedding. I would not recommend this place.

I booked an appointment for my daughter in law, her mom, sister in law, my daughter and myself. When I called to book I specifically asked if the makeup would be airbrush and was told yes. We got there and first thing I was told was my daughter’s service dog was not allowed in the salon. Simply because of the hairspray, and (I assumed) the “airbrush makeup”. I explained that she was a service dog and is allowed to be with my daughter anywhere we go. The owner did not care. I ended up having to take her service dog back to the hotel. Luckily we were the only ones in the salon, so my daughter was ok. The brides sister in laws hair was a little uneven at the bottom, so the lady that was working with the owner said she could even it up, which she agreed to. The owner started off with the brides makeup followed by the rest of us. The makeup was NOT airbrush. Instead it was just regular makeup and she uses the brushes and mascara over again on everyone. She did spray each brush and mascara brush after she used them, but it looked like she was spraying water on them. The brides sister in law was not happy with her eye shadow color, as she told the owner what colors were in her dress and her eye shadow didn’t match. I noticed on my daughters makeup while still there she had a very noticeable orange line on her jaw bone where it was not blended. The owner didn’t see it when I pointed it out but blended it anyways. She missed a spot and I showed her, she said it was a scar. My daughter does not have a scar on her jaw bone. Not to mention she had us sitting facing the mirror with her standing beside us, she could not see our whole face, only the right side. So she basically just guessed what she was doing on our left side. After the wedding I noticed I missed blending a spot on my left cheek, so I had a orange line down my cheek during the wedding. Our hair styles were ok. Mine was uneven on both sides where she “fluffed it”. I ended up giving her a $20 tip but it wasn’t deserved after I saw all of the imperfections. When we all got back to our rooms we ended up having to redo our makeup. There were so many spots not blended and the eyeshadow wasn’t blended very well. When I booked our appointment I told her we had to be at the wedding venue by 330. I was told we would be out in plenty of time. The bride didn’t get to leave until after 2, leaving not much time to go get her dress and my son, as their cabin is on top of the mountain, to get to the venue. If all the other places weren’t booked, we would not have gone here. Save yourself time and embarrassment and go to someone more expensive. The saying you get what you pay for is definitely on point with this place.

Both my Mother & matron of honor were extremely disappointed with their overall experience at this salon. The owner, Toni smokes cigarettes, the smell & the makeup she did was really nothing special. I highly recommend Wanderlust Salon & Spa- a little more cost wise but you only get married once & it’s true, you get what you pay for.

I had a very bad experience over here, I am very disappointed by the owner’s behavior and her way to treat people, definitely she s not a people person so she wouldn’t suppose to be in this kind of business….I just hope she had a bad day !

My hair and makeup was done here for my wedding. She was very friendly in the phone, did a beautiful hair style and my make up was on point and lasted without running or fading (I may be interested in buying some from her. What is it called?) My only complaint was the she is a smoker and didn’t wash her hands before doing any work on me. Also I think when other people come in she is easily overwhelmed and hurries to finish even though it’s your appointment time. She would be very friendly and then come across very irritated a few minutes later. Hopefully she can get some help in there soon. Outside of those things, I was very pleased with the outcome of my hair and makeup.

Critical: ProfessionalismI set up an appointment for my bride to be and my daughter to get their hair and makeup done on the morning of our wedding.. only to have the owner refuse to do my daughters makeup,, which was pre paid months in advance. I was told by my now mother in law that the owner was rude and unprofessional to my now wife, my daughter, my neice, my sister in law and my mother in law. The owner did not offer to return the monies for pre-paid service, but instead charged me an additional $305 dollars for hair styling for 2 small girls, and two adult women. My advice, find a better place to get your hair and makeup done elsewhere for weddings in Gatlinburg Tennessee and avoid being abused, mislead, and taken advantage of.So today the owner decided to leave a comment on my review almost a year after services or lack of services performed. The owner stated that my wife and bridal party were “really late” which is absurd. Not many brides are late to their appointment the day of their wedding. Not only was my wife not late, she was actually sitting there 15 minutes before the owner showed up and opened her store for business. The bride and bridal party were there and ready, but the owner was not. The owner should have been there ahead of time, to make sure she had things ready for the bride and the bridal party. Typical Karen these days, blame everyone else instead of take responsibility for their own short comings. If I could give negative stars, it would be a -5 star review. For the business owner, an apology would have been nice, but instead you want to blame the bridal party for your failures that day. Maybe this is not the business you should be in. Personally, I think something that does not involve people and appointment times might work better for you, because you definitely do not have people skills, and are willing to openly lie about a customer. Point of fact is you literally stole money from me by not providing the services that were pre paid.Service: HairstylingI set up an appointment for my bride to be and my daughter to get their hair and makeup done on the morning of our wedding.. only to have the owner refuse to do my daughters makeup,, which was pre paid months in advance. Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Quality, ValueToni is awesome! I am real fussy when it comes to cutting my hair.Toni listens and cuts it the way I want it. Not her. I read Today someone gave her a bad review. They must have been rude, or rushed her, or added people at the last moment. I have never had a problem.Services: Hairstyling, Hair coloring, Haircut
