Mikaela has done a great job with my hair! When the pandemic hit, I began cutting my own hair to about the same success as some of the local cheaper places that I had been going to. Mikaela has done a great job and my hair looks fantastic. It took me a good long while to find a place that I like after moving here five years ago, but I’ve finally found it. The bang trims in between cuts are great, keeping things clean and neat before needing a full cut. Yeah, the place is called “Wild Lilac” and maybe it’s not the manliest of names, but who cares? I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I came in on short notice with a horrible hair cut from somewhere else and needed it to be fixed asap for an important job interview. They squeezed me in, and Grace did an amazing job fixing my hair. It was a very difficult fix, but she managed to make my hair look great. She went above and beyond to help me, and was a pleasure to be around. Thank you so much Grace! Highly recommend this stylist.

I found Mikaela years ago when I was looking to change stylists after my hair became distressed from too much processing. I found her name online as the highest-rated colorist for blondes in the DC area. I was lucky enough to get an appointment with her, and have since become a loyal — and very happy — customer for highlights and styling. She rescued my (very fine) hair from major coloring damage (blonde) and it has never been healthier or looked better. Mikaela is a true artist and will give honest and excellent advice on coloring and cut. I always leave her salon feeling great about how my hair looks, and even as it grows out, I get a ton of compliments on the color. She is also a truly lovely person and going to Wild Lilac salon is a fun and luxurious treat!

A hidden gem and truly the best salon in Alexandria. Mikaela is SO talented and a true long hair specialist, but she and the other ladies at Wild Lilac are also are warm and hospitable. The decor is chic and modern, the products are top notch (I have discovered Davines thanks to Wild Lilac) and the haircuts and color are truly the best I’ve ever experienced!
