This was my first time getting a haircut here. I recently relocated to Knoxville and asked coworkers where to go… without hesitation they recommended Tune Up. I called as soon as they opened, they had an opening in about 30 minutes. Everyone was friendly. Kim cut my hair— she was great, she’s been doing this for 20+ years, conversation with her was extremely easy. 100% would recommend Tune Up and Kim for anyone looking to get cleaned up.

There’s nothing like this place. Expert barbers, a huge line of services flanked by delicious libations. I feel weird and out of place getting a pedicure in some run of the mill place. Here, it’s done with intelligent conversation, a football game on TV, and a pour of my favorite bourbon in hand. If you can’t relax here and enjoy the experience, there’s something seriously wrong with you. I’m hooked on this place. SportClips had my business for a long time before Tuneup stole me away with excellent service.

Been taking my son here over a year. Service has gone down in our opinion. They have always honored our veteran discount. My husband was the first to take our son and establish our account and set it up as a veteran discount but this last time my husband took him today and they said because that he didn’t get the cut that they would not honor the discount so either they have changed their policy or the person who checked them out was unaware. My son also attends Hardin Valley Academy and apparently they give discounts for the school but because he didn’t have his school ID with him they also would not honor that discount. I think the prices have gone up as well. Just not worth it anymore. Having a glass of root beer with your haircut does not justify paying $15 more than other places in town that do just as good of work. Also the stylists are not even that friendly. We live in this community and we love to support businesses in this area, but we will pass on tune up from now on.

I was able to get worked in pretty quick despite their busy schedule. The place looks great and definitely wants to put off a “manly” vibe and normalize a “salon” experience for men. I just needed a quick trim and my stylist Kim took good care of me but also was good at attempting the upsale of the list of services they have on deck.

I’ve had 2 great experiences here so far. The atmosphere is very laid back and welcoming. Amy has been very helpful in scheduling my appointments. Sarah gave me a great haircut, and Tasia gave me a very relaxing and nice manicure and pedicure. If any guys are like me and have always been nervous to try these services, this is the perfect place. Pedicures are done in a comfortable room where you can watch tv or play Xbox! I was offered 2 free drinks on my arrival. Their VIP packages are a great way to take care of yourself as much as you want without worrying about the costs adding up. I will definitely keep coming back and recommend everyone stop by for a Tune Up!

Really enjoy coming to Tune Up! My son (soon to be 14!) wanted a cool place that wasn’t a great clips (that’s all we had close to us in Minnesota). I love the concept of having a drink (if you choose too) while you wait, games and great haircuts! We are so glad we found this place!
